Create, Edit and Delete Pupil Subject Comments

The ability to create, edit and delete pupil subject comments can be found in the reports section under the 'Pupil and Subject Comments' area.  This allows teachers to enter comments for pupils for specific subjects in a selected curriculum which will appear on the Parent Reports.






Create A Pupil Subject Comment

To create a new comment, click 'Create pupil subject comments.





To add a comment:

  • Group: Select the group that contains the pupils that you want to add comments for

  • Curriculum: Select the curriculum that will be used on the report.

  • Subject:  Select the subject you want to add the comment for.

  • Pupils in Group: Click on the boxes to highlight the pupil or pupils that you wish to add a comment for

  • Teacher Comment: Type the comment into this box.

  • Create Comment:  Press this to save and create the comment for the selections you have made.


Edit and Delete Subject Comments

Once a comment has been created it can be edited or deleted when clicking on 'View and Edit Subject Comments'.






Select a Group from the group drop-down at the top of the page. This will display all comments that have been added to pupils in this class.  New comments can be added by clicking on the 'Add New' button in the top right hand corner, this will take you to the 'Create Pupil Subject Comments page'.  To edit a comment click on the one you wish to change:



Previous comments shows comments that have been entered in for the selected pupil in other subjects.


You will then be able to type in the comment box any amendments that you wish to make to the original text.  Once the changes have been made, press 'Save Comment'.  


If you wish to delete a comment, click on the delete icon in the top right hand corner:







This will then come up with a notification stating "Comment Deleted" to indicate this has been successful.
